Ryanair Show EasyJet Ads On Flight Search Pages

Irish budget airline Ryanair are always looking for ways to earn an extra buck – toilet charges for one.

Their latest money spinner, Google Adsense, has turned into a bit of an own goal because they are advertising competitors like EasyJet and FlyBMI on their own flight results pages.

Search for any flight via their website and you’ll spot the ads just below the results. (screen grab above)

Is this yet another Ryanair marketing ploy or have they made a major gaffe?

Either way I bet the ad buying teams at EasyJet and FlyBMI are frantically targeting those ads today to take full advantage of the situation while it lasts.
