Ryanair Brings Back Inflight Smoking – Sort Of

The Ryanair publicity machine has been keeping a low profile over the summer months and we haven’t heard much from them since their ‘tubby tax‘ and ‘toilet charge‘ schemes.
Perhaps the PR department had their budget cut after the company reported a £145m loss. With Ryanair you just never know.
Anyway the publicity machine, otherwise known as free advertising, has kicked in with the announcement that smokers can now have a puff at 30,000 feet.
With all things Ryanair there is a snag. People won’t be sparking up regular cancer sticks, no, no, no. On offer for six Euros a pack will be 10 smokeless cigarettes.
These new cigs contain no toxins at all and are harmless to not only the user, but the people sitting around them. And because they are smokeless, they are legal to use inflight.
Ryanair’s Stephen McNamara said, “Ryanair’s low fares, unrivaled punctuality, least lost bags and fewest cancellations of any major European airline deliver exactly what passengers want. Now, to help passengers who like to smoke and find it difficult to travel on an aircraft for a couple of hours without getting their nicotine hit Ryanair has launched Similar Smokeless Cigarettes.”
