At one time New Zealand was pretty high up on my ‘Places To Visit list. In fact I even considered it at one time as somewhere to relocate and live.

It made the list for one reason – it’s the furthest English speaking country in miles away from Scotland, all 11,500 of them. The idea being to put as many miles between me and my home country as possible.

Over time New Zealand got pushed down the list and has eventually fallen off it. The more I’ve travelled the more I realised I don’t need to live in an English speaking country.
