Wolfram Alpha Internet Innovation

Search engines have come a long way, Google is pretty much the pinnacle of what is currently available on the web at the moment, but all that is set to change when Wolfram Alpha launches later this month.

This new search engine has been created by Dr Stephen Wolfram, an English inventor and instead of having to create special terms to search for items of interest you can simply type a question as if you were asking it to a friend across the table, and the program will understand and give you a response, for example if you ask it how high Mount Everest is, it will not only give you the correct answer it will also provide reams of data about the mountain, nearby towns, weather etc.

The largest innovation is its ability to work things out on the fly, if you ask it to compare the heights of two mountains it will, or if you ask it to find out what the weather was like in Indonesia on the day John Lennon was killed, it will cross check and tell you.
Unlike Wikipedia the information on the engine will be added by scientists meaning that the information will always be accurate and verified before being available to search through, Homework will never be the same again!
