Spotify.com Is Like iTunes Except Free

In essence, Spotify is like a free iTunes. The key difference is that there are advertisements, but at genuinely infrequent intervals.

It means you can listen to almost anything you want, whenever you want. The iPhone application simply makes the company’s service available to iPhone and iPod touch users whenever they have a Wi-Fi signal.

Be warned, though, the free version of Spotify is currently only in a public test mode, so stability and performance are not guaranteed.

A paid-for, ad-free version, is available. Subscription to this costs 99p per day or £9.99 per month.
