Sony Handycam HDR-CX520VE

Sony’s Handycam range gets better and better. This one offers full high-definition recording, and can store up to 25 hours of footage on its 64GB internal memory.

It has plenty of clever features, too, including SteadyShot to reduce camera shake in all directions, and the automatic geo-tagging of clips and stills using the camera’s built-in GPS.

The Handycam doubles as a 12-megapixel digital stills camera, too.
