PSP Go Price Cut To £199

Sony maintains that sales of the PSP Go remain strong, despite signs from retailers that the new hand-held games console is not proving as popular as expected.
The PSP Go, which was released on Oct 1, cost around £225 at launch, but many retailers – including Game, HMV and Play.com – have already dropped the price to £199.
Some retailers believe the device – which features a slide-out control panel and only plays downloadable games – is destined to be a flop.
Sony, for its part, says that the PSP Go is “performing in line with its expectations”, and has even created a ‘halo effect’ that has seen sales of the PSP-3000, which uses physical UMD discs, “enjoying a big lift” as well.
Sony said that software sales for the Go have been very good, with Gran Turismo and Fifa 10 selling particularly well.
