Jaguar Returning To Le Mans

More than twenty years since their last victory at Le Mans, Jaguar has announced that the recently unveiled JaguarRSR racing car, the XKR GT2, will be taking part in this year’s Le Mans 24-Hour race.

2010 signals the 75th year in Jaguar’s motorsport history, and what better way to celebrate than with a foray into the American Le Mans Series (AMLS), and now the Le Mans 24-hour race.

Jaguar won Le Mans overall seven times between 1951 and 1990, making it the most successful British manufacturer in the event’s history. But it has not been represented at Le Mans since the early 1990s.
