COD: Modern Warfare 2 To Sell For £55

When Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 hits the shops just ahead of the huge Christmas market it will be priced at a premium rate in the UK – an astonishing £55.

Activision, the makers of the game, have decided to hike the price of one of this years ‘most wanted’ titles by a tenner for absolutely no reason what so ever – other than sheer greed.

I’m not buying into all the bullshit about exchange rates and development costs because I’m willing to bet my left nut the Japanese and U.S. markets won’t be seeing the same ‘premium’ price tag.

Activision said that it would not comment on pricing strategies.

The industry will be watching closely whether the game will continue to be a success despite the increase of nearly 20 per cent and will no doubt follow suit if it proves to be the right move.
