$300 Porsche Torch

A turbocharged torch, designed by Porsche and featuring a battery that will last for 20 years, has been unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show.

The Porsche torch goes on sale in March costing a whopping $289 (£180), but mPower Technology, the company behind the device, says the cutting-edge technology built in to the flashlight means it’s worth the money.

So it last 20 years and comes with a USB slot for charging other devices – in my book, that still doesn’t justify $300.
