Roger Federer Wins Sixth Wimbledon Title

Roger Federer beat Andy Roddick in the Men’s Final at Wimbledon yesterday (July 5) in a five-set thriller.
The No.2 seed won his sixth Wimbledon crown after beating Roddick 5-7 7-6 (8-6) 7-6 (7-5) 3-6 16-14.
It was a historical day for Federer as the 27-year-old regained the number one status in the men’s rankings as well as surpassing Pete Sampras in the all-time Grand Slam standings with 15 majors to his name.
Famous faces in the crowd included Rod Laver, Bjorn Borg and Pete Sampras looking on from the Royal box.
