Lakers Are One Away

The Los Angeles Lakers moved to the brink of the NBA Championship after another overtime victory over the Orlando Magic gave them a 3-1 lead in the finals.
Derek Fisher’s late three-pointers proved to be the difference as the Lakers won 99-91 in overtime in Florida to move to within one win of a 15th NBA title.
Kobe Bryant top-scored with 32 points but it was Fisher’s pair of three-pointers, at the end of regulation and in overtime, that put them in charge of the best-of-seven series.
Trevor Ariza and Pau Gasol both made 16 points for the Lakers, who can claim the title with a win in game five in Orlando on Sunday – although games six and seven will return to LA if needed.
Phil Jackson’s Lakers lost in the finals 12 months ago against the Boston Celtics, but they will move to within two titles of their rivals if they win number 15 this year.
