Wayne Bridge Surgery Setback Hits City

Manchester City have been hit by the news Wayne Bridge faces a month on the sidelines after undergoing surgery on a hernia problem.
The 29-year-old was forced to limp out of City’s 1-1 draw against Sunderland on Sunday after aggravating the long-standing injury and he will miss crucial Premier League games against Fulham, Everton, Wigan, Burnley and Birmingham as Roberto Mancini’s side aim to grab the fourth Champions League spot.
It is the second injury absence for Bridge this season after a knee problem ruled him out of 13 games, while he has also had to deal with being under the media spotlight following allegations of an affair between his former partner Vanessa Perroncel and ex-Chelsea team-mate John Terry.
