UCL Draw: Inter v CSKA, Utd v Bayern

The draw for the quarter finals of the Champions League has just taken place with Inter Milan drawn against surprise package CSKA Moscow while Sir Alex Ferguson’s Manchester United will face Bayern Munich.

Arsenal will take on defending champions Barcelona whilst Lyon will take on Ligue 1 rivals Bordeaux.

United or Bayern will then meet Lyon or Bordeaux in the semi-finals, while Inter or CSKA are set to tackle Arsenal or Barcelona.

The semi-final draw was made in Switzerland at the same time as that for the quarter-finals, as has been the case in recent seasons.

Eight teams from six different countries reached the quarter-finals, the most varied group since 1998-99.

Quarter-final draw

Lyon v Bordeaux

Bayern Munich v Manchester United

Arsenal v Barcelona

Internazionale v CSKA Moscow

First leg 30 and 31 March; second leg 6 and 7 April.

Semi-final draw

Bayern Munich or Manchester United v Lyon or Bordeaux

Internazionale or CSKA Moscow v Arsenal or Barcelona

First leg 20 and 21 April; second leg 27 and 28 April.
