Inter: Balotelli Not For Sale

After Mark Hughes sacking as the boss of Manchester City on Saturday there has been growing speculation that his successor, former Inter Milan coach, Roberto Mancini will be raiding his former club in the upcoming January transfer window.
Paper talk suggests 19-year-old striker Mario Balotelli is top of his shopping list along with right-back Maicon and midfielder Dejan Stanković.
All three play an important part of the current Inter squad and despite only six league starts this season, young Balotelli has come off the bench to score important goals, not to mention his Champions League appearances.
Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti insists Balotelli will not be joining Manchester City in January and he has also stated that current Inter boss José Mourinho will not be getting any funds this January to replace Sammy Eto’o who is heading to the African Nations Cup.
Moratti congratulated Man City for the appointment of Mancini, who won three Serie A titles in his time at the San Siro, but insisted the Italy Under 21 international was not for sale.
‘I think they (Manchester City) have made a great signing,’ said Moratti. ‘But they should not inquire about Balotelli for January because we are not selling him.’
As an Inter fan I can only see a move to Eastlands as a bad career move for Mario as he will be down the pecking order from Tevez, Adebayor, Robiniho and Santa Cruz – unless Mancini has plans to offload any of them.
At least while he is at Inter and Eto’o is on international duty he has a chance to play regular first team football. Not keep the bench arm at Man City.
