Manchester Derby: United Steal It In Injury Time

Sir Alex Ferguson now considers yesterdays 4-3 win over his city rivals as the greatest Manchester derby in history.
Well he would, wouldn’t he, considering Micheal Owen scored the winner 50 minutes and 20 seconds into a second half?
City were a little more than mere ‘noisy neighbours’. and so much more than a side that could be dismissed as ‘cocky, arrogant and stupid’.
City were without Emmanuel Adebayor and Robinho up front, yet they certainly gave Sir Furious something to think about, though he’ll never publicly admit that.
Watching this match you had to agree with Mark Hughes assessment when he dared suggest United were not the same now Cristiano Ronaldo and Carlos Tevez have moved on.
United weren’t the same yet they still managed to pull a rabbit out the hat just at the perfect moment.
The magic moment was a ball from Giggs that Owen controlled with one touch before guiding it past Given.
Within 20 seconds referee Martin Atkinson blew his final whistle.
