Hull City Sacks Manager Phil Brown

Hull City say they have taken the decision to remove boss Phil Brown from his post in order to give themselves the best chance of avoiding Premier League relegation.
The Tigers are second from bottom and three points from safety after Saturday’s 2-1 home defeat to Arsenal so the board has decided to act with nine games left to play this term.
A club statement read: “Hull City AFC confirms that Phil Brown has been relieved of his managerial duties at the club and has been placed on gardening leave with immediate effect. Brian Horton and Steve Parkin will take charge of first-team duties until further notice.”
