Fiorentina 3-2 Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich have progressed into the quarterfinals at the expense of Fiorentina on away goals.

Bayern took a 2-1 league into the match but went behind on the 28th minute to a goal from Juan Manuel Vargas. Mario Gomez was replaced by Miroslav Klose after 30 minutes as he limped of with a calf injury. Fiorentina got a second through Stevan Jovetic in the 54th minute. Mark van Bommel made it 3-3 on aggregate on the hour with a shot from the edge of the area.

Fiorentina Grabbed a goal minutes later as Stevan Jovetic shrugged off a challenge from Daniel van Buyton and cooly netted his second. Then Arjen Robben responded immediately as he hit a shot from 30-yards which went out of the reach of Frey and into the top corner.

Arsenal 5-0 Porto

Arsenal cruised into the quarterfinals with a home win to overturn their 2-1 defeat away to Porto. Arsenal took the early lead through Nicklas Bendtner who then doubles their lead on the 25th minute. Samir Nasri produced a marvelous peic of individual play before scoring from a tight angle and substitute Emmanuel Eboue added another. Nicklas Bendtner completed his hat-trich with a 90th minute penalty.
