Twilight Steals The Night At MTV Awards

The MTV Awards have been the talk of much gossip and scandal lately, what with the whole Bruno stunt (which surely had to be fake, right?) and the usual hi jinx of crazy celebrities.

The thing that stood out for me though was the amount of awards Twilight and its stars won. We all know that teenage girls everywhere are completely and totally obsessed with Robert Pattinson but the screaming every single time his name, or the movie was mentioned was kind of ridiculous!

Kristen Stewart was incredibly awkward and nervous as she collected her awards, at one point even dropping it on the floor! She joked that she was probably as awkward as we’d all expected her to be and she was pretty much right! The most animated we actually saw her was when the award went flying from her hands, Robert’s face in the audience was pretty hilarious as the camera cut straight to him laughing his head off (also probably the most enthusiastic he’d been in the show) and clapping.

All in all, a great show, with plenty of laughs but I couldn’t help but feel it just wasn’t up to the same standard as previous MTV awards shows.
