The Apprentice Final – Yasmina Is Hired!

The Apprentice has gained a cult following since it first aired, and everyone I know was tuning in to watch the final last night (Sunday June 7th) to see who Sir Alan (Soon to be Lord Alan) would hire!

As usual, the final show did not disappoint! The two remaining contestants, Kate and Yasmina were tasked to create and market a completely new concept for a box of chocolates and as with every final show the contestants from past episodes were brought back in to work alongside them.

Things got off to a hilarious start with Kate deciding not to pick boyfriend Phil to join her team despite several longing looks from him, gazing across the room in her general direction. Maybe she’s just not that into him?

The two picked their teams and separated to get on with the task, both had very different ideas as Kate went to target the ‘Couples’ chocolates which the idea was to share on a cosy night in. Unfortunately her packaging looked like a tampax box and she priced herself way out of the mass market!

Yasmina however delivered some awesomely eye catching packaging in electric pink and black, priced her chocolates reasonably but came unstuck at the actual chocolate making process as everyone quickly agreed her products were pretty disgusting!

Despite this it was Yasmina who claimed victory and walked away as Sir Alan’s Apprentice! A well deserved winner in my eyes and I’m glad she beat Kate as I’m pretty sure she’s WAY too used to getting her own way in life…

I’m wondering if they will do a ‘Year in the life of’ show for Yasmina like they have done previously. It would be interesting to see exactly how Sir Alan puts her to use and what her strengths and weakness are at the end of the first year!
