The Apprentice – Philip Is Fired

Well, it was Apprentice night last night. I look forward to this show every week and it never disappoints! This week the teams were mixed up a little and then sent off for a dragons den type task where they all had to look at a series of products and decide which ones would be best to sell.

Now, I don’t know about anyone else but I honestly thought that half of the products shown were absolutely rubbish! The dog lead was kind of cute but what exactly were they supposed to have chosen for Sir Alan’s meetings that he’d already set up?

With their products chosen the two teams attended their first meetings as arranged by Sir Alan, obviously these went down like a lead balloon and it ended up being the following day where they arranged their own meetings that were slightly more of a success (for some at least).

Mona really excelled in this task, gaining plenty of meetings and sales whilst Philip on the other hand seemed more interested in flirting with Kate the entire time like a lost little puppy!

When it came down to the crunch, it was team leader Lorraine along with Philip and Kate who were brought back into the board room. Lorraine played the trump card, bringing up Philip and Kate’s relationship to Sir Alan, and ultimately sealing his fate. Kate proved she was well and truly in it to win it by turning on Philip at the last minute leaving Philip on his own and getting the dreaded finger of doom pointed at him whilst being told in an overly dramatic voice “You’re Fired!”

Poor old Philip! He seemed genuinely nice on the after show later that evening, enduring plenty of jibes about ‘Pants Man’ and his relationship with Kate, it’s a shame he didn’t tone down his attitude a bit before as he might not have been the one to walk!
