X Factor: Is Lucie Jones A Possible Finalist?

I sat watching the X Factor last night at my sisters place with my brother-in-law one can of beer away from unconscious but still managing to stir up an argument without effort.
The miracle lager he’d been downing all afternoon had transformed him into the fifth judge on the X Factor panel and he voiced his opinion on Lucie Jones from her opening line – ‘not good enough’, was the slur.
It was quite a struggle to hear Lucie sing through his rabble but I heard enough to pour some petrol on the fire by saying I thought she’d be one of the acts to make it all the way to the live finals.
With that statement he went into another booze fueled rant. You just can’t buy entertainment like this, and I’m not talking about the X Factor.
As for Lucie Jones, well, she’s no Whitney Houston but she certainly didn’t murder ‘I Will Always Love You’ like the brother-in-law claimed. His hearing was obviously dulled by the ten pints as he reckoned she was out of tune and unable to hit the notes.
It’s to soon to say who’s going to win the show as the new format doesn’t let you see everyone who makes it through to the next round but I’ll stick with my first thought that 18 year old Lucie Jones will make it to the live finals.
Take a look at her performance and tell me what you think.
