Is Holly Willoughby the new Fern Britton?

The Sun are reporting that dancing on ice presenter Holly Willoughby has been offered Fern Britton’s place on ‘This Morning’ after Fern sensationally resigned recently.

Co presenter Philip Schofield, who already works with Holly on Dancing on Ice is said to be very pleased with the decision and it looks like it could be another great partnership for the show given that Holly and Philip already have great on screen chemistry together.

28 year old Holly won’t be getting Fern’s whopping £750,000 salary however as it is reported that ITV will be offering her 400,000 when she first joins. I would imagine she’ll have a lot to think about first though before accepting as along with her other work commitments Holly has also recently had a baby and we all know how busy those first few years of motherhood can be.

Apparently Davina McCall’s name has also been mentioned as another possibility (I can actually see that working) as has Fiona Philips (who I’m not so keen on personally) so we’ll have to stay tuned for more information and see how Holly makes her decision!
