Coronation Street The First TV Soap On Google Street View

ITV and Google today offered fans of the nation’s favourite soap the chance to explore Britain’s most famous fictional street as Coronation Street became available on Google Street View for the very first time today.

Earlier this year the soap’s producers invited the Google Street Team to drive down the famous cobbles so that fans could take in well-known landmarks such as the Rovers Return, Audrey’s hair salon and The Kabin.

Coronation Street is the first TV soap to feature on Google Street View.

A Corrie spokesman said: “Thanks to Street View, fans will be able to have a good nose around the set in a way that would have been unimaginable almost 50 years ago when the show first aired.”
