Big Brother – Day One In The Big Brother House

After every evening catch up show on C4 I’ll be posting my thoughts here, giving a bit of a run down for those who may have missed it and keeping you up to date on any of the latest BB gossip and news that may be brewing.

Last night’s highlights show started with a little bit of what we didn’t see on the launch night, watching the contestants interact together a bit more and get to know each other better. Some of them seem to instantly bond, some seemed to just weird everyone out a bit like Marcus! My favourite bit of the show last night was his 5 minute excruciatingly boring ‘introduction’ speech that everyone else took about 60 seconds to make where he talked about himself as if he actually was Wolverine because, get this he NEVER gets headaches or colds or feels unwell, that’s right, he must totally be a superhero…

Lisa took the plunge and answered the big red phone with the “Should you answer the phone” wording on it. In fairness, pretty much everyone ran to grab it so it didn’t really work as a deterrent. By doing this, Lisa was automatically granted housemate status along with Rodrigo and Noirin and then had 15 minutes to pick someone to also become a housemate. She chose Kris and after a pretty awkward diary room conversation between the two of them I’m quite convinced that Kris isn’t actually as fond of Lisa as he made out. Grateful? Yes. Fond? Not so much…

The ‘Housemates’ then went to bed in the luxury bedroom and the rest of the contestants were forced to sleep on the floor with just their blankets and pillows for comfort. I’m looking forward to seeing which of the rest of them complete tasks to earn housemate status before the public voting begins.

I’m warming to most of them in their own kooky little ways, but think we need to choose verrrry carefully this year to get the right mix of entertainment value from our housemates as well as choosing the more likeable of the bunch!
