Simon Cowell Wants To Buy Christmas TOTP

The BBC announced earlier this week it was scrapping the Christmas Special of Top Of The Pops and have come under a backlash from licence payers who feel the Xmas special of the now redundant show is as much part of Christmas as turkey, pulling crackers and the Queens Speech.
Step up Simon Cowell, music big wig and reality show judge, who wants to save the day and buy the rights to Top Of The Pops to show an annual special on Christmas Day. Just as it has been for the past 40 odd years.
He told The Sun, who are running a campaign to have the show saved, “I’ve got a suggestion for them. If they don’t want it, I’ll take it.”
“This year has been phenomenal for British music and we should celebrate by making Top Of The Pops at Christmas a fantastic event.
“I’ve made them an offer and let’s see if they accept.”
