Vanessa Williams ‘Sad’ About ‘Ugly Betty’ Cancellation

Vanessa Williams has revealed how horrible she felt upon hearing the news that ‘Ugly Betty’ is not coming back. She said, “I gotta be honest, we’re devastated. We’re sad, we’re not ready for it to end. We just moved to New York.”

On January 27, 2010, ABC had confirmed that the series will be ending in April, at the same time as reducing the season length from 22 to 20 episodes.

Mark Indelicato, who plays Justin Suarez in the comedy series, recently admitted that “it’s sad to see this come so unexpectedly”.

Vanessa, 46, added, “Our season this year has been the best we’ve ever had. But numbers and ratings were a concern. A lot of people couldn’t even find us.”

The series finale is set to air in April 2010.
