Twitter: The Reality Show?

If recent rumours on popular social networking website Twitter are to be believed, there may soon be a new reality TV show in the pipeline that actually uses Twitter as its main focus.
Apparently Twitter has been in talks with Reveille productions and Brillstein Entertainment to create a show that would see regular people as the ‘contestants’ and have them track down celebrities via Twitter, perhaps giving them tasks such as being the first person to receive a reply from a specific celebrity or the first person to gain a celebrity follower.
I have to admit, I’m not keen on the idea and think it could completely drive all celebrities away from Twitter, ruining if for us all. My theory has been backed up by Ashton Kutcher and wife Demi Moore who have both said they’d debate quitting Twitter if the show went ahead.
We all know that most of the famous people who use Twitter don’t actually have time, or can’t be bothered to read everyone’s messages to them, and so when you DO actually receive a reply back from one it makes it all the more exciting. A show about basically stalking celebrities is just not cool, and could be set for a huge flop if it does ever get developed!
