Former Jackson Publicist & Thriller Actress Suing

Michael Jackson might need to add another couple of dates to his run at the O2 Arena this summer to bank some extra cash with another two lawsuits for unpaid royalties and fees looming.

First in line to sue Jackson is his former publicist Raymone Bain who is suing the singer for $44m (£29m) for his alleged failure to pay her for her services.

Raymone Bain said Mr Jackson had agreed to give her a share of profits from deals she arranged and that she was “disappointed” he had not done so.

Ms Bain acted as Mr Jackson’s publicist during his 2005 trial for child abuse.

Then we have Actress Ola Ray, who starred in his 1983 video Thriller. Ola has filed suit against Jacko and his production company alleging breach of contract.

According to TMZ, Ray’s attorney claims she was promised a cut of the 1983 promo’s revenue but has yet to receive a penny.

The epic 14-minute video, which was directed by John Landis, was the most expensive promo of its time, at a cost of $500,000.

And lets not forget Landis also filed suit against Jackson back in January, claiming he’s owed royalties for his work on the iconic promo and related spin-offs.

In his suit, the director alleged he had a deal in place with the superstar, which entitled him to 50 per cent of the net profits from the video and related material.
