Ellen Pompeo Welcomes Baby Girl

Ellen Pompeo, known for playing the title role of Meredith Grey in ‘Grey’s Anatomy’, and her husband Chris Ivery welcomed a baby girl last week.

Ellen’s rep told Us Magazine that “Her name is Stella Luna Pompeo Ivery,” and “She was born Sept. 15 in Los Angeles.”

The 39-year-old actress married record producer Chris Ivery in November 2007. In April the couple announced they are expecting their first child.

Her ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ co-star Katherine Heigl have recently adopted a 10 month old Korean daughter Nancy Leigh. The sixth season of Grey’s Anatomy returns Sept. 24.
