Movie Maker John Hughes Dies

Celebrity gossip site TMZ.com are reporting the sad news that movie producer and director John Hughes has passed away.

The 59 year old was taking a morning walk whilst visiting family in NYC when he suffered a fatal heart attack.

Hughes was responsible for some of the most successful comedy films of the 1980s and 1990s, many of which I watched as a teenager such as ‘The Breakfast Club’, ‘Pretty in Pink’, ‘Planes, Trains and Automobiles’, ‘Uncle Buck’, ‘Home Alone’, ‘Weird Science’ and ‘Ferris Bueller’s Day Off’.
