Blake Lively To Play The Female Lead Role In ‘Green Lantern’

Blake Lively has been cast as the female lead in Warner Bros.’ upcoming superhero film ‘Green Lantern’, Variety reports. Blake, 22, will play Carol Ferris, the love interest of Ryan Reynold’s pilot superhero, Hal Jordan.

The production of the flick is expected to start in March. ‘Green Lantern’ is currently scheduled for a June 17, 2011 release.

Blake recently filmed her scenes for her role as Krista Coughlin, in the up-coming 2010 ‘The Town’. ‘The Town’, directed by Ben Affleck is based on Chuck Hogan’s novel ‘Prince of Thieves’.
