This video was taken April 2009 in central Tokyo, it shows you how small a 50 000 Yen (£347 / $510) per month flat is in Japan.

Toilets are IN the shower, and you have to almost sleep in the doorway.

The landlord asked for 3 months upfront to get this flat. In comparison Japanese prison cells are twice the size.

I know they say Tokyo is a tight squeeze but this looks a nightmare. If you pulled where would you canoodle in this place?
