Can you believe a 25mph tractor is the latest addition to the car pool at an English police force?
Lincolnshire Police have equipped the £50,000 John Deere 6630 tractor with police stripes, badges and a blue light. That must be to scare off any sheep or cows that get in the way during a ‘pursuit’.
Chief Inspector Phil Vickers – the man responsible for signing the purchase order – needs fired on the spot. If he thinks for a minute a £50k tractor is going have any impact on agricultural crime then he needs his head looking at.

I can’t believe you think the guy should be sacked, What he need is a medal – let me tell you why. 1. Taking this to kids schools would educate children on the safety of heavy farming equipment as well as light up their day and jump all about pretending to steer it etc. 2. Taking this to a country show would give the town folk a interest to chat to the police and maybe help solve a crime. 3. Having a police tractor join in at the Tractor Pulls would be awesome, just like they do here (Victoria Australia) on street registered car “Drag Nights” (the police have a C300 Chrysler. Cheers
