Naked Barbie Dolls Erotic Calendar – Clever Or Creepy?
This 2011 calendar of nude Barbie Dolls was created by Breno Costa and Guilherme Souza from Brother Ad School, Buenos Aires, Argentina for Matchbox.
I don’t know if they done it as part of their coursework or the project was commissioned by Matchbox officially but I found it a wee bit creepy.
On the other hand some may call it clever marketing – what’s your thoughts? Creepy or clever?

I think it’s pretty damn clever and sexy! It’s basically a take-off of supermodels who do those once-a-year calendars and swimsuit magazines along with famous lingerie spreads. Both are fake, empty-headed and view women as pretty things to look at or every girl should be. So why not show the original supermodel, Barbie in all her glory too?
What male growing up didn’t learn something about what the opposite sex looks like watching sisters dressing up dolls? What a shock to see real girls having nipples and pubic hair! At least the dolls won’t age, talk back or make ridiculous demands.
Grown men have their dolls and adult women use toys in ways much more “creepy” as a simple and tasteful calendar. Whoever turns away when we see a mannequin in a store front window? Plastic or not, it’s what’s represented.
