Plane Crazy – Air Miles For Implants

Finnair, Finland’s largest airline and flag carrier, is offering frequent flyers a new reward – boob jobs.

Yep, air miles can now be cashed in for plastic surgery and new knockers will set travellers back 3,180,000 air miles.

A facelift at the hands of Finland’s most famous plastic surgeon, Rolf Nordström, would need a few extra flights as it costs 4,640,000 air miles. Hair transplants and blepharoplasty are also available.

To sum up and keep things simple, breasts rivaling Pamela Anderson, Jordan or Heidi Montag takes roughly 404 Finnair flights between Helsinki and Hong Kong, or 120 round-trip, business class flights between Helsinki and New York.

It’s all a bit ironic considering the effects high altitudes have been known to have on breast implants, such as pulsations and bubbling.

Update Sept 2011:

It looks like other airlines are following suit with plastic surgery
offers in exchange for miles among other oddities. A recent WSJ report says a
face lift, iPods, TVs and even pianos can be purchased with miles. Read more at the WSJ.
