Drunk Captain Crashes Ferry (16 Photos)

Croatian authorities have launched an investigation after a 128-metre passenger ferry ran aground on the island of Sit over the weekend, with rumours suggesting the captain was drunk.

The “Marco Polo” run by Jadrolinija Rijeka was on its regular Rijeka – Split – Dubrovnik – Bari route when it ran aground late on Saturday night.

None of the 41 passengers and 64 crew members were hurt in the incident which occurred in good weather.
