Council Fits Sat Nav To Lawnmowers

A council has spent £6,000 fitting satellite navigation systems to its fleet of ride-on lawnmowers.

Bosses at Leicestershire County Council claim the satellite systems will help mowers combat an ‘unprecedented amount of growth’ on its verges and playing fields.

The sat navs will be used by contractors to locate the next patch of unmown grass and prevent workers getting lost in overgrown fields.

The people at Leicestershire County Council obviously have cash to burn.
