Abandoned Police Station – 32 Photos
Highland Park is a city in the U.S. state of Michigan and is completely surrounded by Detroit except a small portion that touches the city of Hamtramck, which is also surrounded by Detroit.
When the city was founded in 1919, it was home to the flagship factory of Henry Ford and the highest average living standard in North America.
After the Ford plant closed in the 50′s the city fell into decline and due to a mounting financial crisis the city temporarily closed down several key services, including the police department.
Just off of Woodward there’s a complex of three buildings, the former headquarters for the city’s police, fire department, and courts.
Below is a 32 picture gallery of the police dept left abandoned and littered with furniture, guns, ammunition, confiscated weapons, paperwork, files and photographs.
