In Pictures: Abandoned 18th Century Russian Manor House

Manor Stepanovskaya

Manor Stepanovskaya (Pavlishchev Bor) was built in the 18th century and owned by the Stepanovs family of Arkhangelsk, Russia.

At the time of construction the head of the family was Platon V. Stepanov, the civil governor of Arkhangelsk. The house was last owned and occupied by Elizabeth Stepanova.

Unfortunately I couldn’t find any reference as to why it was abandoned. The house and out building now stand derelict and decayed as you’ll see from the 18 images gathered here that were taken earlier this year.
