I think most people of my age and generation first seen Bonsai trees in the movie The Karate Kid. I’d never seen or heard of this pastime until then.

Ignorance on my part? Yeah, probably but such is life.

Anyway, it turns out Bonsai growing is more than just a pastime of the Japanese – far from it. I’m not going to go into a huge history of it all, that’s what Wikipedia is for.

I’m just going to show off a collection of pictures of beautifully sculptured miniature trees.
