Will Schoolgirl Faryl Smith Knock U2 Off #1?

Faryl Smith, a 13-year-old schoolgirl from England, is tipped to outsell U2 and knock them off the top of the UK album charts with her debut album.

Faryl came to prominence through the television talent show Britain’s Got Talent last year and left the judges, including Simon Cowell, speechless with her performances of the hymns Amazing Grace and Ave Maria.

I actually remember this kid for a couple of reasons. First off, her singing, she was indeed brilliant even though her genre isn’t always my cup of tea but it was obvious she was very good. The second reason I remember her was her age. I was left gob smacked that she was only thirteen. At times she looked years older and during interviews she acted and sounded very much older.

Good luck to her and I’d be happy to see her knock the over-hyped U2 album off the top of the pile.
