Into The Box: Sydney Youngblood – If Only I Could

Sydney Youngblood had three hit singles back in 1989 and the biggest of the lot was If Only I Could.

I’m not a big fan of 80′s music but I loved this as it sampled the bassline and drumbeat from the Raze track Break 4 Love which I was into but found a little empty. Sydney’s song just gave it something more.

His career was short lived with Soul II Soul making all sorts of outrageous claims he robbed ‘their’ sound.

Looking back at the video will make you laugh when you see what he’s wearing.
