Sugababes – Keisha Fired, Amelle Back In
In the beginning there was Keisha, Siobhan & Mutya.
Siobhan walked out and in came Heidi.
Mutya left and was replaced by Amelle.
Then Keisha is fired and Amelle returns.
No original members left!!!
Phew!!!
Over the years we’ve gotten used to girls coming and going from The Sugababes line-up but two changes in three days? Unbelievable.
The story doing the rounds claims Amelle, Heidi and the groups management decided that sole original member Keisha had to go.
Management and the remaining girls auditioned new members and started work on re-recording the album without consulting Keisha.
Interesting stuff…
21 September 2009: Sugababes Statement
The current line-up of the Sugababes has disbanded.
Heidi Range and Amelle Berrabah will continue as the Sugababes and will be joined by new member Jade Ewen. They release their album ‘Sweet 7′ on November 23rd through Island Records.
Keisha Buchanan will continue to record for Island Records as a solo artist.
