CHOON: Dionne Bromfield – Mama Said
Over the weekend I caught 13 year old Dionne Bromfield performing on BBC1′s Strictly Come Dancing.
I had misunderstood a news article in a Saturday tabloid that Amy Winehouse was performing with her new boobjob, so I recorded it.
When I got round to watching it Sunday night I’m glad I did Sky+ it. Amy was on the show but only as a backing singer for her God daughter Dionne’s performance.
Her Motown sounding ‘Mama Said’ debut single is pretty good, in fact, I thought it was so good I watched it a couple of times back to back.
Dionne, from Chislehurst, Kent, has signed to Amy’s new record company, Lioness with her debut album ‘Introducing, Dionne Bromfield’ released October 12th.
