92 Year Old Dame Vera Tops Album Chart
Dame Vera Lynn, better known as the Forces Sweetheart, has become the oldest living artist to top the UK album chart aged 92.
Lynn, who kept up the spirits of millions of soldiers during World War II, has achieved her success with her album, We’ll Meet Again – The Very Best of Vera Lynn.
The veteran singer said she would “never have dreamt” that the album would have charted again – let alone go to number one.
“But there you go, you never know what’s round the corner do you?” she said.
Dame Vera will no doubt be celebrating her chart success with a cup of Coco before having an early night!!
