Below are a selection of two words phrases to sum up the first Whitney Houston gig in the UK for 11 years:
Piss Poor, Shockingly Bad, Rank Rotten, Utter Dross
The bottom line here is the audience were mugged for anything between £30 to £60 that they paid out hoping to see the singer put on a show – a pity for them Whitney put on more of a comedy than a concert.
Her opening two songs were hampered by technical issues with the mic – was it just the mic?
A mid-show outfit change left the sell out crowd waiting for around 15 minutes. That isn’t the work of an A list star.
Classics Saving All My Love For You, I Will Always Love You and I Wanna Dance With Somebody were all on the set list, it was just unfortunate Houston is no longer capable of hitting the notes.
If you have tickets for any of her other UK gigs, you have my sympathies.
