Caught Live: Elton John Caesars Palace Las Vegas

Elton John played his final show on the Las Vegas Strip last night (April 22) after a five-year run at the famed Caesars Palace hotel and casino.

The veteran singer gave an emotional finale laden with hits including ‘Candle In The Wind,’ ‘Rocket Man’ and ‘Tiny Dancer’.

Elton initially signed a three-year contract to perform at the casino, but his run was extended to five due to great demand, reports the Associated Press.

During his 241 shows at Caesars Palace, he shared the same stage as Las Vegas regulars Bette Midler, Cher and Celine Dion.

He’s scheduled to embark May 2 on a tour of the United States, Canada and Europe.
