46 Hilariously Strange Vintage Album Covers
I get the impression the owner of the Wayne Newton ‘Best Of’ album has placed the wrong record in that sleeve unless ‘Bowel And Bladder Training’ was a bonus disc and gatefold sleeves just hadn’t been invented back then.
This collection of old album covers, many of which are foreign, leaves me either shaking my head in disbelief that record execs thought these cover photos and artwork would shift albums. As for the rest, they just crack me up.
I also love how the odd boob is thrown in for some extra buyer interest, which would no doubt have increased sales even more as men would have raided the sale section so they could cover up the nude cover to save a little embarrassment at the cash desk.
Just shows they’d figured out even back in the 50′s breasts equals buyers.
