MTV Awards Premieres Twilight: New Moon Trailer

Fans of Twilight are eagerly awaiting any smidgen of gossip they can get their hands on about the next instalment of the popular saga ‘New Moon’ and they didn’t have to wait long, because the kind folks over at MTV decided to give them a sneak peak at the first trailer of the movie at the recent MTV awards.

After watching it myself and as a fan of the original books by Stephanie Meyer, I can actually say two things 1) Thank GOD Jacob has been ‘beefed up’ a bit to fit his role in this movie and 2) Thank GOD the werewolf transformation scene didn’t totally suck!

They remained true to the description in the book of Jacob’s transformations where author Stephanie Meyer explains them as if they literally just explode mid air into wolves. They also looked more ‘wolf like’ than I expected, rather than cheesy werewolves.

I think the movie will benefit hugely from a bigger budget and a new director and can really see it being much more credible than the original Twilight; which although I enjoyed I felt it wasn’t quite as good as it could have been to live up to the high standards set in the book.

As a ‘Team Jacob’ supporter I’m also going to look forward to seeing much more of him in the movie and a bit less of the very pretty but ever so slightly patronising Edward Cullen. Sorry girls!
